Forklift truck inspections help spot potential faults before they develop into a more serious and costly defect. Our forklift checklist has been designed by experts in order to help improve safety, reduce maintenance costs and ensure compliance with legal responsibilities.
Allow workers to carry out pre-use forklift inspections at the beginning of their shift. Using these inspections regularly will ensure that potential faults and dangers can be identified as quickly as possible which will help to prevent costly accidents and costs
Simply attaching our status tag to your forklift will provide a clear visual reminder to employees to carry out a pre-use forklift inspection and allows the completed forklift checklist to be placed inside the status tag to show the findings and date of inspection checklist to all other employees.
At the beginning of each shift, the operator should check the fork lift truck and document the results. They should report to the supervisor any defects which might affect its safe operation to ensure they are put right. Reference: HSE ACOP L117
Each check book contains a total of 25 individual inspection checklists relating to forklift components and mechanics. A duplicate carbon copy of the completed forklift inspection is retained in the book for management records. The book also includes useful guidance notes to remind operatives what to look for during their forklift inspection.
