Following an inspection using a Good to Go Safety Check Book, the top copy of the completed checklist is folded and inserted into the tag, instantly updating the status to reflect the latest inspection results and date. If the equipment is safe to use, the tag shows a ?Good to Go? message. If any faults are identified, a ?Do Not Use? insert is displayed, effectively quarantining the equipment until the necessary repairs or adjustments are made. This system prevents assumptions and ensures that only properly inspected equipment is in use.

For management and supervisors, the tag provides instant visibility of inspection compliance. A quick walk past equipment allows managers to see at a glance whether inspections have been missed. Opening the tag also gives access to the latest checklist, showing who completed the inspection and when, ensuring a full audit trail and accountability.

An optional tamper-evident seal can be attached after an inspection to secure the contents of the tag. Once in place, the blue seal must be broken to access the checklist. This provides management with additional confidence that only approved competent inspectors have completed inspections, and employees can immediately recognize if a tag may be invalid.
